Karen George-Stevenson

Karen is a three-time BCI Award winner, recognised as European Business Continuity Professional and as both Global and European winner for Best (Resilience) Recovery. A respected resilience leader with more than 30 years of senior leadership experience, she specialises in organisational resilience, business continuity, programme management and corporate governance.

Karen is known for her people-focused approach, helping organisations transform information into practical action and build lasting resilience capabilities. She has extensive experience setting strategic direction for resilience governance, crisis management, emergency response and business continuity, while leading cross-functional programmes, strengthening risk visibility and ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements. Recognised for her calm leadership and clear communication during high-pressure situations, Karen helps organisations prepare for disruption and continuous improvement.

At BCI World Hybrid, she looks forward to helping delegates engage boards and senior executives in resilience initiatives, including war-gaming, and developing practical resilience solutions under significant time and reputational pressures.
